A group of 180 olim from Ethiopia fulfil a lifelong dream Wednesday as they land at Ben Gurion Airport on a special flight chartered by The Jewish Agency for Israel.
Ambassador to the UAE Amir Hayek succinctly announced the signing of the agreement on twitter, tweeting "Done!" in response to a previous tweet on the topic.
The emotional reunion took place at Yad Vashem, in Jerusalem, in the presence of descendants of the survivors who are alive today because of the heroic actions taken 76 years ago.
Since the 16th century Bordeaux has had a private cemetery for “the Portuguese Jewish nation” located in Gironde.
