The Holocaust Museum of Porto hosted a special concert by the renowned Magevet Choir on 29 May, bringing together approximately fifty attendees for an evening of music, culture and reflection.
Magevet, the Jewish a cappella choir of Yale University, presented a diverse repertoire featuring traditional Jewish melodies, contemporary arrangements and songs reflecting the richness of Jewish cultural and religious heritage. The performance was warmly received by the audience, who filled the museum’s conference hall and responded enthusiastically to the choir’s exceptional musical quality.

The concert formed part of the Holocaust Museum of Porto’s ongoing programme of educational and cultural initiatives aimed at promoting knowledge of Jewish history, culture and identity. By welcoming international academic and cultural groups, the museum continues to strengthen its role as a centre for dialogue, education and intercultural understanding.

The event concluded with an informal meeting between the choir members and members of the public, providing an opportunity for discussion and cultural exchange.
