October 7 attack survivor found dead beside girlfriend's grave

Bar Asraf, a survivor of the October 7, 2023, terrorist attack on the Nova music festival in southern Israel, was found dead on Saturday beside the grave of his girlfriend, Liron Garda, one of the victims killed in the massacre.

Asraf, 30, survived the Hamas terrorist attack but lost his partner, who was working as a bartender at the festival and was killed during the massacre. According to The Times of Israel, his body was found next to Liron's grave.

According to Asraf's sister, the family had attended a wedding the day before, an especially emotional occasion that is believed to have brought back painful memories of the couple.

On Saturday morning, Bar left home alone, as he often did when he needed time to reflect. At first, his family was not concerned by his absence. However, after several hours without hearing from him, they decided to look for him and went to the cemetery, knowing it was one of the places where he most liked to spend time.

"He loved talking to her and being with her," his sister recalled. "He died in the place where he most wanted to be, beside the woman he most wanted to be with."
