On July 24, 2026, member states of the International Criminal Court (ICC) voted to remove Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan from office. During a special closed-door session at the United Nations headquarters in New York, the ICC’s Assembly of States Parties voted to permanently dismiss Khan, a sexual pervert who once saw Israel as a punching bag to hide his own sins.
The assembly concluded that Khan committed "serious misconduct and a serious breach of duty" involving prohibited conduct toward a junior staff member, including coercive sexual behavior and attempts to prevent her from pursuing a complaint.
The removal triggered strong reactions from countries that had previously been targeted by Khan’s prosecution efforts:Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar: Sa'ar called Khan's dismissal "long-delayed" and stated that it exposed the "moral bankruptcy of a corrupt Prosecutor". Also Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon echoed this sentiment, stating that Khan falsely believed launching a "political witch hunt against Israel" would make him untouchable and shield him from scrutiny.
In turn, the U.S. State Department also welcomed his removal. A spokesperson characterized Khan as a cog in an "irredeemably corrupt institution," following months of intense U.S. sanctions against Khan and several ICC judges.
The ICC Assembly will convene in the near future to elect a new chief prosecutor to take over the court's high-profile cases.
