Lisbon and Porto to host Irmex Forum 2026 to discuss technology, society and the future

Lisbon and Porto are preparing to host one of the most significant events of the year in the fields of geopolitics, innovation, and social development. The Irmex Forum 2026, under the theme “Knowledge, Technology, Society and the Future”, will bring together internationally renowned experts and leaders to discuss the key challenges and opportunities of the contemporary world.

In Lisbon, the event will take place on May 4 and 5 at the Auditorium of Hotel Roma. In Porto, it will be held on May 6 and 7 at the Sheraton Porto Hotel.

The forum will address highly relevant global issues, including geopolitics, conflict resolution, cybersecurity, business opportunities, economy, innovation, education and culture, with the participation of distinguished international guests.

"The IRMEX Forum 2026 in Porto represents a unique moment in the agenda of intercultural dialogue in Portugal. Bringing together, over two days, voices from Israel and the Iberian space, in a city with such a rich history of exchanges between civilizations, is no coincidence— it is a deliberate choice," said Yosef Santos, president of IRMEX.

Confirmed speakers include Oren Rozenblat, Israeli Ambassador to Portugal; Henrique Cymerman, SIC correspondent in the Middle East; and Nirit Ofir, cybersecurity expert and humanitarian activist.

The Porto edition will also feature a closing gala dinner attended by the Mayor Pedro Duarte, along with international guests.
