The Irmex Forum 2026 took place in Porto on May 6 and 7, bringing together international experts, diplomats, academics and business leaders to discuss major global challenges related to technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and geopolitics.
Held at the Holocaust Museum of Porto, the event focused on the theme “Knowledge, Technology, Society and the Future.”

Speakers highlighted the growing impact of AI, digital transformation and cyber threats on governments, businesses and society.
Among the notable participants were journalist Henrique Cymerman, cybersecurity expert Nirit Ofir and ambassador Oren Rozenblat, who emphasized international cooperation and the importance of dialogue in an increasingly unstable world.

The forum also explored the future of work, education and innovation, with several discussions pointing to Porto’s rise as a European technology and startup hub. Organizers praised Portugal’s growing role as a platform for international dialogue and cooperation.
The event concluded with networking sessions and a gala dinner attended by international guests and local authorities, reinforcing the forum’s message that global collaboration is essential in the face of rapid technological and social change.
