Today, June 10th, is Portugal's day.
It is one of the holidays in Portugal and celebrated by Portuguese people all over the world. It commemorates the death, on June 10, 1580, of Luís de Camões, poet and national literary icon.
See the message from Dor Shapira, Israel's ambassador to Portugal:
"I've been in Portugal for almost a year and your country has so many good things: the tasty pastel de nata, excellent wines and incredible views. But the best thing about Portugal are the people who welcomed us warmly and who I enjoy meeting every day. I want to wish all Portuguese a happy Portugal day!"
