The Jewish Community of Porto has established a committee composed of French Jews living in the city to assist and welcome a growing number of families who are eager to relocate elsewhere. Massive protests in cities such as Paris, Marseille, and Lyon—involving the dregs of society and immigrants who harbor hatred toward the French Republic—are terrifying the local Jewish community, which has become a primary target for looting, theft, and destruction.
In Porto, a large part of the community is French. The community’s study center itself hosts some 500 young French people, and the Chabad emissary—who also serves as the primary religious leader—is himself French.
Portugal is a good country to live in. The native population in general is welcoming and exhibits many philo-Semitic traits. The effects of radical Islamic immigration are not yet felt in Porto to the same extent as they are in Paris, London, Brussels, or other European cities.
In Porto, the central synagogue spans 2,000 square meters, the study center is highly active, and a Jewish cemetery was inaugurated in 2023. The community manages two museums and is a global leader in the promotion of Jewish culture—an achievement officially recognized by the current PSD/CDS government that likes de Jews.
The Community remains under the protection of Bitzur (the Israeli security framework), as one can never be certain how society might evolve, and there are still woke communist elites that have not been dismantled by the new course of history.
Jewish people can be categorized as a people of forced immigrants. History includes both forced expulsions and voluntary economic, safe or social migrations.
