Venezuela's interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, thanked Israel for sending a specialized delegation to assist with the response to the powerful earthquakes that struck the country.

In a statement, Rodríguez highlighted the professionalism of the Israeli team and the role it has played during the initial stages of the emergency response.

"We received a highly professional and qualified team from Israel. This specialized team has begun implementing the protocol to initiate the infrastructure rehabilitation process. They are experts capable of determining whether there are people alive at a given location or whether there are bodies that need to be recovered, even before any infrastructure rehabilitation process can begin. I thank them for that," she said.

Although Israel does not maintain diplomatic relations with Caracas, it joined the international humanitarian assistance efforts mobilized in the aftermath of the earthquakes. The Israeli delegation is part of a broad international support operation involving teams from dozens of countries to strengthen the search for survivors, rescue victims, and assess damaged infrastructure.
