The Shaaré Tikvá Synagogue, in Lisbon, held a solemn ceremony in tribute to the victims of the Holocaust, bringing together ambassadors, diplomatic representatives, and members of civil society.
The event was attended by Dr. João Taborda da Gama, National Coordinator of the European Strategy to Combat Antisemitism and Promote Jewish Life, and Ambassador Maria de Fátima Mendes, Head of Delegation to the IHRA.

The ceremony was led by the Chief Rabbi of the CIL, Pinhas Punturello, accompanied by the Assistant Rabbi. The program also featured a cultural component, including a performance by the Kol Haneshamá Choir, as well as contributions from youth members of the Dor Chadash Youth Movement of Lisbon and a representative of The Jewish Agency for Israel.
The ceremony concluded with a message of remembrance and commitment: “Remember always! Never forget!”
