The Mekor Haim Choir
The Mekor Haim Choir, under the direction of Leonardo Mendonza, will present a private concert in the Superior School of Music and Arts (ESMAE) to the participants of the ‘Link Me Up’ conference, to be held in Porto on November 20, 2022.
‘Link Me Up’ is an international initiative supported by the European Union that brings together students, business leaders, and academics to teach learners how to solve real-world problems in business and industry. Representatives of 13 Polytechnical Institutes in Portugal, who act as facilitators in the program, along with delegates from Finland and the Czech Republic, will be present at the meeting. A representative of the Leiria Polytechnical Institute, Raul Bernardino, who is also a member of the Mekor Haim Choir, initiated the concert.
The Choir will present a number of Sabbath, holiday, and other liturgical songs from its repertoire, to share a taste of Jewish culture in Porto and to show how interest in Jewish music is growing in the city.
