Around 100 people from different families and generations gathered on Sunday at the CIL Country Club in Albarraque for the Mega Challah Bake, part of the international Shabbat Project initiative.
The event, marked by a joyful and warm atmosphere, brought the 2026 Shabbat Project programme in Portugal to a successful close, following two earlier events held during the week at Shaaré Tikvá Synagogue in Lisbon and at Chabad House Avner Cohen in Cascais.
The initiative was jointly organized by the Jewish Community of Lisbon, the Somej Nophlim Jewish Charity Association, Chabad Portugal, and JYP – Jewish Youth of Portugal. All proceeds from the events are donated to Somej Nophlim.
