Historian Jorge Martins will present his latest book, Inquisition and Judaism in Castelo de Vide and in the Castelo de Vide Diaspora, on October 31. The book launch is part of the programme for Sephardic Culture Month, an initiative organized by the Municipality of Castelo de Vide, and will mark the final day of the municipal programme.
Known for his research into the history of Judaism and the Sephardic presence in Portugal, Jorge Martins once again explores the relationship between the Jewish community and the Inquisition, this time focusing on Castelo de Vide as one of the main settings of his research.
