Electronic Music Festival in Portugal declares: “Zionism has no place on a dancefloor

The official profile of the Eletronic Music Festival "Walking Life" made a regrettable post on Instagram declaring: "Zionism has no place on a dancefloor". The Festival is scheduled for June in Alentejo, Portugal.

The publication generated protests in the comments. "Hello, you don't know what Zionism is, right? 95% of Jews are Zionists, so Jews aren't allowed on your dance floor? If so, say it", replied an app user. "I unfortunately no longer feel safe at a festival that interprets October 7th as a necessary act of resistence", said another user.

Following the controversy on social media, the Festival published a new clarification post: "The internet often amplifies polarisation".
