In two criminal investigations in 2021/2022 involving the DCIAP and the PJ, then led by Albano Pinto and Luís Neves, both appointed by the socialist government, those institutions dared to illegally "investigate" Judge Ivo Rosa and the Jewish Community of Porto.
The Judge was presented with eight "investigations" derived from a sketch of a criminal and decisions he made in judicial proceedings. The second one was an inquiry derived from a sketch of a criminal, denunciations against Patrick Drahi, and regarding corruption of register offices—a joke.
The judge called his case "an attack on the rule of law." The Community called the political, media, and judicial powers "corrupt." Both investigations proved to be a great fiasco for the persecutors trapped in a Power scheme.
Ivo Rosa currently holds the position of judge of the Lisbon Court of Appeal. He has significant international experience, having served in various judicial capacities abroad and within international organizations, such as United Nations International Courts. In this role, he was part of high-profile international proceedings, including the appeal trial panel for former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadžić. His formal career demonstrates a high level of expertise, moral and professional integrity.
The Community continues to thrive and today occupies a prominent position among the strongest Jewish communities in Europe, completing its 11th year of full minyan and two synagogues, preparing to host the largest European event for Jewish Culture Day (September 6th), and continuing to monopolize Holocaust education in Portugal, having already received a large percentage of the country's adolescent population.
Albano Pinto remains in the shadows. He is currently serving as the coordinator of the Retrospective Analysis Team for Homicide in Domestic Violence. His involvement in the judge's case will go down in history. It is not yet publicly known whether anything else will remain in history.
Luís Neves is unfortunately already linked to contracts worth €2.3 million with a contractor, and there are well-founded suspicions that, in return, the contractor carried out free or below-market works at Neves's properties. The law calls this corruption or, at best, undue receipt of advantage. When an official or employee solicits or accepts an undue advantage, is penalized with imprisonment for 1 to 8 years if the act or omission performed is contrary to the professional or official duties of the person. Undue receipt of an advantage, requesting or accepting an advantage not legally due, without a specific corrupt quid pro quo agreement regarding a specific act, is punished with imprisonment for a period between 1 and 5 years.
Last week, the Attorney General of Portugal, Amadeu Guerra, confirmed that there are five ongoing judicial proceedings involving his friend Luís Neves. Rather than a unified investigation led by the DCIAP (Central Department of Investigation and Prosecution), the cases are dispersed across various territorial departments and specialized courts. While the DIAP Regional de Évora investigates unpermitted construction work and renovations performed on Neves' private estate in Odemira, the DIAP Regional de Lisboa handles the criminal inquiry regarding the seized trailer, and the circumstances surrounding the use of a high-end car seized from a convicted drug trafficker.
The division of these cases generated discussion among legal experts and investigative journalists. In the Portuguese legal system, the DCIAP is only assigned to coordinate cases involving highly complex financial crimes. However, the same DCIAP, when led by Albano Pinto and advised by Neves and his faithful subordinates, ordered the illegal opening of proceedings against the judge (the first joke) and against a Jewish community (the second joke), having had the audacity to invade one of the largest synagogues in Europe, which the Community considers an outrage and promises to punish accordingly. No one will be forgotten.
The Portuguese Jewish News would like to report today that the DCIAP is investigating the two leaders who were responsible for destroying the image of Ivo Rosa and the Jewish Community of Porto. However, it cannot do so. Today is not April Fool's Day and that institution continues to be led by clones of those individuals, who apologize to no one and risk the judgment of history.
