Scholars who today analyze the "Portuguese Dreyfus" case, which occurred in the 1930s, tend to reduce it to a murderous scheme by independent state officials. The issue is more complex, as a "Palestinian question" was very much alive at that time in Portugal. The newspapers of the elites characterized the synagogue of Porto as being "A Piece of Palestine", while the antisemitic book "The Invasion of the Jews" written by a highly eccentric Portuguese writer circulated from hand to hand.

"A Piece of Palestine" was a poisonous expression. The land on which the synagogue was built was acquired with a donation of 500 pounds from the cousins Edmond and Édouard Rothschild. They were not irrelevant characters. Edmond was the founder of the Palestine Jewish Colonization Association, which aimed to professionally manage the vast land acquisitions in the region. Even today he is called in Israel "HaNadiv HaYeduah" (the famous benefactor). As for Édouard, he was then the powerful regent of the Banque de France and became known among his enemies as the "Uncrowned Monarch of the World", thanks to a highly resonant antisemitic book published at that time, entitled "The Secret World Government, or, The Hidden Hand".

Written by a Polish count, this book blamed "the satanic forces of pan-Judaism led by Edouard Rothschild who, together with 300 men, make up the world government", with the aim of "creating a materialistic world order, based on debt". The thesis was simple. Behind every society, behind the press, the banks, and the new political ideologies, the same ruling intelligence of the Rothschilds was hidden. Debt would be a form of domination over nations, revolution and chaos would make it possible to restart societies and erase the memory of peoples, and the information transmitted by the press would aim to poison public spirit.

It was in this horrific context that the "Portuguese Dreyfus" case was born, not by mere officials of the Portuguese state, but by the state itself, which made a show of not separating political and media powers. What mattered was the destruction of the community. Its leader, Captain Barros Basto, initially accused of being a mere "pantheist" and a "pederast", was convicted of performing "circumcisions". As for his coreligionists, sold in the press as "Bolsheviks", it was up to them to see how the state and the press in coalition happily sacrificed the Jewish community they had founded. The "Piece of Palestine" became almost a ghost building for eighty years. Eighty years.

The fashion of the "Invasion of the Jews" returned in the 21st century. When the community and the synagogue rose again, the Portuguese state and its press were still entangled in a "Palestinian question" associated with the Rothschilds. Unsurprisingly, the Jews of Porto had to endure again the violent attacks in a scheme similar to what had occurred a century earlier. This time, there were no shouts against the Bolsheviks, but rather hundreds of newspaper pages against the “Israelites”. This time, a leader of the community was not called a pederast, but was called a corrupter of registry offices. This time there were no accusations of pantheism, as the main targets, including the granddaughter of the wronged Captain, were called unprofessed. How beautiful the world is, how plastic it is!

Contemporary anti-Zionism unites the Jewish and Palestinian issues into one. The most daring minds continue to be disturbed by the Rothschilds's shadow and especially the grandchildren of Edmond and Édouard, the first two official “Honorary Members” of the Porto Jewish community: David René, Édouard Junior and Benjamin de Rothschild.

The theme was theorized in the 1990s, in the famous book Conspirators' Hierarchy: The Story of the Committee of 300, whose author (a former MI6 officer) cried out against what he called "the Jewish problem" and "Universal Zionism" at the hands of Rothschild's family. The book has targeted also other Jewish banking and commercial dynasties (Oppenheimer, Warburg, Goldsmid, Sassoon), the Central Banks, the International Court of Justice in The Hague, the Royal Institute of International Affairs/Chatham House, the Council on Foreign Relations, Bilderberg, the Trilateral Commission, intelligence organizations, the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, the RAND Corporation, and numerous multinational corporations linked to the trade in oil, mining and pharmaceutical goods.

This thesis can be reduced to four words: the Jewish State, the Zionist lobby. Among contemporary political elites, which are usually very weak, many have come to firmly believe that wars, economic crises and pandemics themselves are orchestrated by the Committee of 300 and the occult Rothschild elite. There is a clear logical continuity in all this, as exactly a century ago, the man who wrote the cheque for the purchase of the land of the synagogue in Porto, Édouard Rothschild, was accused of leading the so-called "world government" along with three hundred men. The number remains.

In the light of what has been said, it can be well understood how undesirable productive Jews, important Jewish communities, and the Jew of the nations have been in many nations, even in Portugal. The political and media thought institutionalized in woke societies is the mortal enemy of everything that the Jewish world represents, with the aggravating factor that the Muslim Brotherhood has been for decades sustaining philosophies that reject the history of nations, call the natives racist, and declare as enemies the famous Rothschilds who, curiously, descend from Jacob Rodrigues Pereira, a member of the prestigious Royal Society of London and who deserved the highest international recognition of the scientific community of the time.

The Jewish community of Porto, centered on the synagogue created both to the Rothschilds of Paris (Edmond and Édouard) and to the "Rothschilds of Asia" (Lawrence and Horace Kadoorie), will surely have a lot to give to the country of Dom Afonso Henriques and Yahia ben Yahia, when there is an organized political force capable of mobilizing the country for the future. For now, there is little or nothing to do. There is catastrophic immigration, innovation is paralyzed, sources of wealth are dead, public resources are drained to sustain a favor-trafficking machine, and institutions that should serve everyone specialized in attacking those who can make a difference for the better.

There is no doubt that the Jewish community must continue to prosper in isolation, while it sees everything else collapsing around it. If the Jews do not count; if among the self-proclaimed elites no one intends to leave behind a useful life; if to produce culture it is necessary to obtain permission from socialists who know nothing, think nothing about and create nothing; then obviously no kind of strategic thinking or useful alliance can please those who direct the destiny of the nation which has never managed to definitively dismantle the "Piece of Palestine" existing in Porto, Portugal.
