This week, Portuguese Parliament members Liliana Reis, Regina Bastos, Alexandre Poço, Bruno Ventura, Carlos Reis and João Almeida visited Israel and met with Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel. The meeting focused on the war between Israel and Hamas and the fight against Iran's influence in the Middle East.
This session comes two months after Haskel's visit to Portugal, during which she inaugurated a parliamentary friendship association with members of parliament from both countries.
"Israel and Portugal are friendly countries with shared values, and we have a mutual interest in strengthening bilateral ties across a variety of fields," stated the Israeli Deputy Minister.
