Israeli singer-songwriter Gal Tamir will perform in Lisbon on April 19th at 8:30 PM at Camones Bar, located at Rua Josefa Maria, 4B. The concert is part of his current musical project that blends traditional Portuguese Fado with Ladino music, in collaboration with the group Al’Fado.
Born in Kibbutz Nir David, Israel, Gal Tamir has a rich and diverse musical background. He studied piano, flute, clarinet, voice, theater, and acting from an early age and holds a degree from the Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem. His career includes performances at festivals such as Abu Gosh, The Spring Festival, and with orchestras like the Beer Sheva Sinfonietta. He has also appeared in theatrical and musical productions across Israel.
Gal’s style brings together contemporary music, jazz, rock, pop, soul, blues, and even cantorial music, drawing influence from Israeli artists like Shalom Hanoch and Matti Caspi, as well as international icons such as Sting and Joni Mitchell.
This fusion of cultures and sounds promises an intimate and moving performance, showcasing a deep musical heritage to the Lisbon audience.
