Israeli Ambassador to Portugal strengthens institutional ties in Madeira

The Israeli Ambassador to Portugal, Oren Rozenblat, travelled to Madeira, where he held a series of meetings with senior regional officials as part of an agenda focused on strengthening ties and cooperation between Israel and the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

During his visit, the diplomat was received in an official audience by Judge Paulo Barreto, Representative of the Republic for the Autonomous Region of Madeira, at the Palácio de São Lourenço. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss potential areas of future cooperation between Madeira and Israel, with particular emphasis on the healthcare sector.

The Ambassador also met with Miguel Albuquerque, President of the Regional Government of Madeira. The meeting formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional contacts and cooperation between the Autonomous Region of Madeira and the State of Israel, following previous diplomatic visits and engagements.

The agenda also included a meeting with Rubina Leal, President of the Legislative Assembly of Madeira. Discussions focused on opportunities to further cooperation between Portugal and Israel, particularly in the fields of healthcare and tourism.
