In Israel, Yaakov Kedmi, a former diplomat who previously led Nativ, also made inflammatory statements regarding a potential nuclear conflict. Kedmi asserted that in the event of a nuclear war with Russia, Europe would be entirely destroyed. He claimed, "This land will no longer exist!"
He alleged that while Russia would suffer damage, it would ultimately survive, whereas nothing would grow on European soil for a thousand years.
