Daughter of Rabbi murdered in the United Arab Emirates is born

The widow Rivky Kogan gave birth to a baby girl, keeping alive the memory of her husband, Rabbi Zvi HaKohen Kogan, who was brutally murdered in 2024 in the United Arab Emirates.

This week, during Passover, the birth of a baby girl brought hope and emotion to the international Jewish community. The baby is the daughter of Rivky Kogan and Rabbi Zvi HaKohen Kogan HY”D, who was brutally murdered in November 2024 in the United Arab Emirates, where he worked as an emissary of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.

Rabbi Zvi Kogan, born in Jerusalem, served in the Israel Defense Forces before moving to Abu Dhabi, where he dedicated himself to strengthening the local Jewish community. He was responsible for educational and logistical projects, as well as managing a kosher supermarket. His kidnapping and murder by a terrorist group linked to Iran shocked Jews worldwide.

The birth of his daughter is now celebrated as a continuation of his mission and a symbol of light that is reborn amidst the pain.
