The event will take place on November 20 and 22 at Clube Fenianos in Oporto.
Clube Fenianos, in Oporto, is preparing to host two unmissable events on November 20 and 22: the Taybelekh concert and The Righteous exhibition. The activities promise a celebration of music, memory and solidarity.
The Taybelekh concert, dedicated to the klezmer musical genre, will feature internationally renowned musicians, including Ilana Cravitz, one of the world’s leading klezmer performers, and Phil Tomlinson, a prominent Yiddish singer who has just completed a tour in Warsaw. Artists from London, Manchester, and Sheffield will also take part.
“Taybelekh,” which means little doves in Yiddish, is conceived as a concert for peace. According to organizer David Hayes, the event will be a concert of joy and celebration, especially following the release of the surviving hostages, at a time when the Jewish world faces challenging times.

At the same time, The Righteous exhibition pays tribute to Christians and Muslims who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. Among the featured stories are those of Aristides de Sousa Mendes, the Portuguese consul who saved thousands by issuing visas against the orders of the Salazar regime, and Noor Inayat Khan, a Muslim resistance fighter in Nazi-occupied France.
All proceeds from the events will go to the Holocaust Museum of Oporto, managed by the Jewish Community of Oporto. The museum focuses primarily on young audiences, investing in education, teacher training, exhibition promotion, and research support.
Tickets cost 10 euros and must be purchased online in advance for the sessions on Thursday, November 20, and Saturday, November 22, at 7:15 PM: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/taybelekh
