The response of Guterres, to the bombing of Iran fits in with his behavior since the massacre of October 7, 2023: "I condemn the expansion of the conflict in the Middle East, with escalation after escalation. This must end. We need a ceasefire". What we need is a new UN Secretary-General. Guterres has not yet denounced the massacre and sexual atrocities committed by the Hamas killers on October 7, nor has he taken steps to declare them a terrorist organization. Now, he has not condemned Iran's attack. This systematic attitude of theirs therefore is in tune with their support for the rapists and murderers of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and Iran. He is not alone. Socialists came to his rescue when Israel declared him persona non grata. Democrats in the Socialist Party do not condemn Iran, the capital of tyranny.
