A compatible pair

They are euphoric about the Nobel Peace Prize that Guterres may receive, if the Swedish Academy has gone to a tavern in Scotland to drink whiskey.

A compatible pair. Each one has their own style, but they have the same taste in verbal attacks: Israel. They are António Guterres and Major-General Agostinho Costa. Iran, that great democracy, attacked Israel with 200 missiles. The soldier, in full madness on CNN, as usual, declared that the Ayatollahs had achieved all their objectives. What happiness this delusion gave him. What did it hit, sir? He killed an innocent Palestinian in Jericho, is that the objective to which he refers? Wake up. It was not the work of chance, luck, or prayers that the attack failed. There are countries that bet on terrorism and others that rely on their own defense.  The Major General attacks the "Iron Dome", a defense system that can shoot down about 90% of the threats it detects. Be angry, Augustine, that there is a strong possibility that the enemies of Benjamin Netanyahu, or any other Israeli prime minister, will be left pouting.

The response of Guterres, to the bombing of Iran fits in with his behavior since the massacre of October 7, 2023: "I condemn the expansion of the conflict in the Middle East, with escalation after escalation. This must end. We need a ceasefire". What we need is a new UN Secretary-General. Guterres has not yet denounced the massacre and sexual atrocities committed by the Hamas killers on October 7, nor has he taken steps to declare them a terrorist organization. Now, he has not condemned Iran's attack. This systematic attitude of theirs therefore is in tune with their support for the rapists and murderers of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and Iran. He is not alone. Socialists came to his rescue when Israel declared him persona non grata. Democrats in the Socialist Party do not condemn Iran, the capital of tyranny.  They are euphoric about the Nobel Peace Prize that Guterres may receive, if the Swedish Academy has gone to a tavern in Scotland to drink whiskey.
