The Luso-Portuguese Association for Israel (ALPI) has placed a billboard in Lisbon, thanking the President of the United States, Donald Trump, for his role in promoting peace in Israel.

The monarch spent several minutes outside of the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue, where wreaths lie for two Jews slain on Oct. 2.

The Palestinian terror group's attack prompted retaliatory Israeli strikes.

Of the 28 bodies that Israel was supposed to receive, only 9 have been delivered. The bodies of 2 Portuguese-Israeli hostages still remain in Gaza.

Among the hostages who returned to Israel, three hold Portuguese citizenship.

Hundreds of people attended the book launch in Lisbon and Oporto.
