Since the last Yom Hazikaron, 1,600 Israeli soldiers and civilians have been slain.
In 1493, the King of Portugal had Jewish children of Spanish origin torn from the arms of their parents and sent by boat to the island of St. Thomas 7500 km away.
The film was produced in Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Hebrew.
The Holocaust Museum of Oporto was created in 2021 by the Community in partnership with B’nai B’rith International and with the assistance of Holocaust museums around the world.
Panel of speakers considered the massacre was deliberately ignored.
