A film about the French Resistance opens in Portugal on 24 February

The opening night of the film Resistência has been booked for Portuguese cinemas on 24 February. This is a film of great quality and highly recommended to the Jewish community. Based on real facts, it tells the story of a group of Jewish scouts from Lyon who joined the French Resistance to save ten thousand orphans during the Nazi invasion of France.

One of the scouts is Marcel Marceau, an aspiring actor at the time, who became a world-renowned mime after the war. The film lasts 120 minutes and was directed by Jonathan Jakubowicz, with performances by Jesse Eisenberg and Clémence Poésy.
