New York hosted in November the 42nd International Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Emissaries (Kinus Hashluchim). This annual event, which always takes place in New York, brought together 6,500 rabbis and emissaries from over 100 countries, including the three rabbis from Chabad Portugal: Rabbi Eli Rosenfeld, director of Chabad-Lubavitch Cascais, Rabbi Haim Chetrit, from Chabad Oporto, and Rabbi Menachem Wagner, from Chabad Algarve.

Over five days, the emissaries participated in workshops, prayers, study sessions and activities focused on community strengthening. The program included collective study sessions, sharing of teachings from Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson and the exchange of experiences from their work in their respective communities.

The conference aims to renew the global mission of the shluchim, who are responsible for leading community centers, synagogues, schools, and social initiatives within the Chabad-Lubavitch network, emphasizing the importance of faith, spirituality, and connections among Jewish communities worldwide.
