Holocaust Museum of Oporto

The Jewish Community of Oporto celebrated the European Day of Jewish Culture, on which the Synagogue, the Jewish Museum, the Holocaust Museum and kosher restaurants were open to the general public.

Thousands of visitors are expected on Sunday 1 September at the Kadoorie Synagogue, the Holocaust Museum, and the Jewish Museum and its cinema.

The European Day of Jewish Culture event held in the city is already well known on the Old Continent.

The Mekor Haim Choir will present a special concert of musical settings of Biblical verses in honor of the Shavuot holiday on June 14, 2024 in the Porto Holocaust Museum.

Since the last Yom Hazikaron, 1,600 Israeli soldiers and civilians have been slain.

The Holocaust Museum of Oporto was created in 2021 by the Community in partnership with B’nai B’rith International and with the assistance of Holocaust museums around the world.
