Jewish Community of Oporto
The Holocaust Museum of Oporto was created in 2021 by the Community in partnership with B’nai B’rith International and with the assistance of Holocaust museums around the world.
Panel of speakers considered the massacre was deliberately ignored.
The children respectfully kept silent in a room bearing the names of tens of thousands of Jews murdered during the Holocaust.
The event was a partnership between the Jewish Community of Oporto and the Jewish Women's International Zionist Organization of Rio Grande do Sul (WIZO RS).
The film "1506 - The Genocide of Lisbon", which premieres this Thursday, April 18th, portrays the massacre of the Jews, in 1506, in Lisbon.
