What the Powers in Portugal attacked in 2022 was not some focus of evil within a Jewish community. It was the entire Jewish world, across all continents, and the State of Israel.
When, in May 2014, the Kadoorie synagogue hosted the presentation of the book "The Jews of Porto," few imagined that the city’s Jewish Community would be so strong.
The hope was replaced in subsequent years by Jewish resilience and the defense of Jewish human rights.
Jews don't count. In 2018, Parliament did not accept to include in the definition the "national, cultural and religious minority".
