The Jewish communities of Lisbon and Cascais marked the holiday of Purim with celebrations characterized by tradition and joy. In the capital, the Jewish Community of Lisbon hosted a special gathering highlighted by the reading of the Megillat Esther, led by Rabbi P. Pinhas Punturello, who recently assumed the position of rabbi of the Shaare Tikvah Synagogue. Rabbi Aharon Eitan was also in attendance.
Children received sweets, and participants joined together for a festive dinner in an atmosphere of warmth and celebration.

In Cascais, Chabad Cascais organized an equally lively event. Attendees came in costume, honoring one of Purim’s most cherished traditions. Children enjoyed a variety of activities, including games and face painting, making the celebration especially meaningful for the families present.
