On December 21, the Jewish Community of the Algarve gathered to celebrate the final night of Chanukah with the traditional lighting of candles and the sharing of Israeli food.
The celebration took place in Albufeira and was attended by the Ambassador of Israel to Portugal, Oren Rozenblat.

In his speech, the ambassador paid tribute to the victims of the antisemitic attack in Australia and recalled the situation of Luso-Israeli Ran Gvili, whose body remains in Gaza.
Despite the moment of reflection, the celebration was marked by an atmosphere of joy and unity among the participants.
