ALPI—Portugueses por Israel, in partnership with the Embassy of Israel in Portugal, held its annual dinner this year under the theme “Moments That Endure, Together for Israel.” The initiative brought together members of the community, institutional representatives, and invited guests for an evening marked by thoughtful addresses and expressions of support.
The opening session was led by Dr. Madalena Barata, President of the association. Among the evening’s speakers were the Ambassador of Israel to Portugal, Oren Rozenblat; journalist and guest of honor Henrique Cymerman; and Professor Nirit Ofir.

In his remarks, Ambassador Oren Rozenblat emphasized that there is “strong support for Israel” in Portugal, although, he noted, this sentiment is not always reflected in the media. The diplomat underscored the significance of bilateral relations and the importance of further strengthening the ties between the two countries.
