The Lisbon Jewish Community (CIL) marked Tu B'Shevat, the Jewish New Year of the Trees, with a series of activities held over two days, bringing together community members of all ages for moments of fellowship, tradition, and learning.
On Sunday, February 1, 2026, the celebration took place in Albarraque during an outdoor gathering highlighted by strong family participation. The program included the planting of trees and flowers, artistic activities, and a traditional Tu B'Shevat snack.
A raffle of Tu B'Shevat - themed baskets was also held, with proceeds benefiting Somej Nophlim – the Jewish Charity Association.

The celebrations continued the following day, February 2, at the Shaaré Tikvá Synagogue, with the traditional Tu B'Shevat Seder. Dozens of people attended the ceremony, which included the participation of Rabbi Aharon Eitan.
